The mother of the eight newly-born babies didn’t not expect she would deliver such a number of babies after taking a fertility treatment.
Angela Suleman, the mother of the one who gave birth said that it’s going to be a big challenge for her daughter raising her 14 children. She actually has 6 other children before the octuplets came making it to 14 all in all. “I looked at those babies. They are so tiny and so beautiful,” Suleman told The Los Angeles Times on Thursday.
Suleman’s daughter gave birth to the octuplets Monday at a hospital in Bellflower but has requested that doctors keep her name confidential. Media knew little about the woman until a family acquaintance told CBS’ “The Early Show” on Thursday that the mother is “fairly young” and lives with her parents and her six children.
Right after the delivery, the media have been tailing the family trying to get some interesting story for the people. But the family would not allow them to get hold of the details. They would not even let them know where the octuplets would stay after in the hospital.
Suleman said her daughter had embryos implanted last year, and after finding out she was pregnant with multiple babies was given the option by doctors of selectively reducing the number of embryos. The woman declined.
All babies continued to receive an intravenous nutritional combination. They were expected to remain in the hospital for several more weeks.

This kind of bird can be spotted in the shores. Physically, it is small and pale. Piping Plover is seen along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, as well as inland in the northern Great Plains.
They are now considered endangered since the people had done some disturbances on them.
The following describes how this bird looks like:
- Small shorebird.
- Legs moderately long.
- Neck short.
- Back pale tan.
- Underparts white with one black or brown band on chest, often broken in middle.
- Legs yellow.
- Size: 17-18 cm (7-7 in)
- Weight: 43-63 g (1.52-2.22 ounces)
They make some clear whistled peeps. They are listed as endangered in Canada and the inland United States, threatened along coast. In French it is called Pluvier siffleu and in Spanish it is Chorlitejo picocorto.
Those who attempt to inflict harm near a Piping Plover nest are chased and bitten. In Manitoba, one Killdeer was observed entering a Piping Plover territory where it was bitten so hard on the leg that it limped for the rest of the summer.

Everyone’s talking about the abrupt gain of weight of singer Ms Jessica Simpson. Her sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has already been irritated by what had come out in the headlines regarding her sister’s weight.
“I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister’s weight,” Simpson wrote Tuesday on her website. “A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman’s weight or figure as a headline on Fox News.”
Jessica was criticized physically after she performed at Radio 99.9 Kiss Country’s Chili Cookoff in Pembroke Pines.
“All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you’re a celebrity, there shouldn’t be a different standard,” the younger Simpson sis continued.
Her sister bluntly says, “Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend? I seriously doubt it. How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure? Now we can focus on the things that really matter.”
Previously Jessica admitted that her gaining of weight is caused by too much eating because she is all worried the she will have bad reviews in promoting her new album. “I’m a nervous eater and this tour has made me a nervous wreck,” she tells the National Enquirer.

Never in my entire life had I heard that one mother has borne eight babies at the same time. What an unbelievable delivery done by the mother. Personally this is the first time I heard it but according to records this is already the second time in the history.
What’s surprising about this situation is that the Doctors had only seen seven babies through the sonogram not knowing that there would be eight. The six boys and two girls, who weigh between 1.8 pounds and 3.4 pounds, were delivered by cesarean section in just five minutes by a team of 46 doctors and nurses in four delivery rooms.
All these babies are breathing on their own upon given birth. They were nine weeks premature and is said to stay in the hospital for two months to make sure their safe. Doctors say the mother is resting comfortably and will be out of the hospital in a week.
These six boys and two girls weigh between 1 pound, 8 ounces, and 3 pounds, 4 ounces, doctors at Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center said. The hospital had scheduled a Caesarean section for seven babies, but doctors were surprised when an eighth came out at 10:48 a.m.
“She’s a very strong woman, so she probably will be able to handle all eight babies,” said Dr. Mandhir Gupta, a neo-natologist who cared for the infants.
Hospital officials would not release any information about the mother, including her name, condition or whether she used fertility drugs. They did, however, say she planned to breast feed all of them.
Forty-six hospital staff and four delivery rooms were used for the latest octuplets’ births. After one baby was born, staff rushed the newborn into another room and waited for the next, the hospital said. But despite weeks of preparation, doctors did not expect the eighth child.
The case was very rare. It would require much of the responsibility of the parents to take good care of the babies. God bless their one big instant family.

A gorgeous and promising model from Brazil named Mariana Bridi used to explore the world of modeling career and was actually soaring to success in her chosen path when sadly she contracted an ordinary urinary tract infection.
The virus spread so fast and inexorably through her entire body, proving to be extremely drug resistant. The doctors had no other option than to amputate her hands and feet. But unfortunately, she gave her life, was pronounced dead on Saturday.
“God is comforting our hearts because he wanted her to be with him now,” her father Agnaldo Costa told reporters outside the hospital where his daughter died. “I can’t accept that my daughter left us so soon.”
The disease happened to her so fast. In December she fell sick and doctors in her native state of Espirito Santo northeast of Rio de Janeiro initially diagnosed as having kidney stones. Then she went back to the hospital on Jan 3 with a very low blood pressure, that’s when the doctors decided to do the amputation and pump drugs into her.
According to research, the bacteria have the “worrisome characteristic” of “low antibiotic susceptibility.”It also easily mutates to develop resistance to new drugs.
A short statement from the Espirito Santo State Health Secretariat announced her death on Saturday (Jan 24)”despite all the commitment of the hospital team.”
I think it was about time for her to say good bye to her earthly life because it could be too painful for her if she had lived longer with her health condition. She is in good hands now, wherever she is, I am sure she is happy.
