datalockerHollywood movie fanatics are once again anxious in waiting which of the movies would earn the awards for 2009. The Forest Whitaker and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Sid Ganis announce the nominations for the 2009 Academy Awards which took place at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater on Wednesday (January 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

The film which took most of the honors, taking 13 noms is the movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. The second on rank is the Slumdog movie which earned 10 noms.

The Best Actor nomination was earned by Brad Pitt for the Benjamin Button, Angelina Jolie for Changeling, and the Supporting Actor nominee was Heath Ledger for the Dark Night.

Hugh Jackman will be hosting the Oscar Ceremony on February 22 at LA’s Kodak Theater. Some of the honors to be given and the list of nominees are as follows:
